What is the dress code?

Get ready to dress to impress! We’re going all out for our special day, and we’d love for you to join us in celebrating in style. We ask that all guests wear formal or black tie attire which includes long (floor-length or midi/tea-length) gowns, suits, or tuxedos. Please avoid wearing white, cream, or similar colors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding attire, please feel free to ask!

Are children allowed to attend?

It's no secret that we both adore children. However, due to the venue's location on the Chicago River and open layout, it is not able to accommodate little ones. We encourage you to make it a date night - we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Will the wedding events be held inside or outside?

Accepted Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held indoors. However, there will be an option (weather permitting) to enjoy the summer weather on RPM's gorgeous balcony overlooking the Chicago River during the cocktail hour and reception.

Am I allowed to take pictures at the wedding?

We ask for minimal pictures during the ceremony portion to avoid distracting others or blocking the view of guests behind you. We welcome and encourage folks to take pictures during the cocktail hour and reception (and share them with the couple!).

Is there a hotel block?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please see the hotel info page for more details. Of note, check-in is at 4pm at the Westin. Rooms have been reserved for both the night of August 8th and the night of August 9th.

What time should I plan to arrive to the venue?

Doors will open at 4pm and we request all guests arrive and be seated no later than 4:45pm. There will be a welcome prosecco and sparkling water bar, accompanied by various juices to craft delicious summer spritzes as you settle in to wait for the ceremony to begin!

What time does the reception end?

The reception will end at midnight. Towards the end of the reception, there will be additional snacks and treats for those interested in lieu of a separate after party.

Does the venue offer parking?

RPM Events offers valet parking for $28 (fee subject to change). There is also an L (train) stop three blocks away on the Blue Line at Clark/Lake.

Will transportation be provided between the venue and the hotel?

Luckily, the hotel is directly next to the venue with a quick walk from hotel door to venue entrance.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, all expenses are covered for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely - the final meal choices include several gluten-free choices and there is also a vegan option available for those who need it. There is an option on the RSVP to indicate any dietary needs and/or allergies, which will be taken seriously by the culinary team.

What should I do if I am feeling sick or under the weather the weekend of the wedding?

If you are unwell, please do not attend the wedding! There will be several older adults and some immunocompromised people in attendance so health and safety is a top priority.

We understand that illnesses come up at inopportune times, so if something like this arises, please do not feel guilty for staying home. We would appreciate a text if you RSVP'd, but other than that just focus on rest and recovery!
